CECC President Attends China's First Euro Sovereign Bond Issuance in Luxembourg

On November 18, China's Ministry of Finance issued 4 billion euros of sovereign bonds in Luxembourg (the first such issuance there), with 2 billion euros for 4 years (2.401% yield) and 2 billion euros for 7 years (2.702% yield). Total subscriptions hit 100.1 billion euros (25x the issuance), and the 7-year bonds saw 26.5x subscriptions.

Investors spanned Europe (51%), Asia (35%), etc. All bonds are custodied in Hong Kong’s CMU and will list in Hong Kong and Luxembourg. The CECC President Mrs. XIE Zhujun was invited to the event. 1763888263851142826121973760.jpg
